It is possible, reguardless of what diet you do just because the first weight you lose will be excess water weight. You lose water weight pretty quickly and it can account for up to 15 pounds. Drink alot of water no matter what diet you do. If you don't get enough water your body will hold excess.
Another factor is how overweight you are and what the cause of it is. Believe it or not, some people can eat next to nothing and still be completely overweight due to a hormone imbalance or other disorders. I am insulin resistant and the only way I can lose weight is to remove all simple carbs from my diet. The rule of thumb I use when grocery shopping is whether or not it is natural, usually the outside area of the grocery store, produce, grains, and dairy. Avoid boxed meals and convenience foods.

Losing that much weight that quickly is seriously unhealthy. 5 pounds a month is the tops for doing it well, if you lose it too fast you have a much higher chance of gaining it back too. Just drink loads and loads of water, eat right, but don't starve yourself, maybe take the hour you have available for walkign and do light arobic type exercising instead, if not walking is still good.
I have lost 50 pounds in the last year and my husband over 70 in just a little bit longer time. NO diets, just eat right and often-5 smaller meals are much healthier for you than 3 large ones.Lots of water to keep your system flushed.

You can't lose the weight if you don't have time to excericise, and if YOU did it wouldn't be in a healthy way. I would suggest you eat alot of vegetables. For Breakfast, you can have egg whites ( no yolks). THeres cereal that's alot like mini-wheats but there is no sugar in it, and it comes in one big square, I'm not sure what it's called. And any milk that you drink, make sure it's SKIM. For lunch, just have salad with no dressing. For dinner, I would suggest a big serving of veggies like beans, sweet potatoe, turnip, spinache (nything green and leafy). You could ahve that with boneless chicken breast, or fish which is very low in fat. Again, no butter or anything. (there are butter flavored sprinkles called "Molly McButter" that are very low in fat). A good snack if you get hungry between meals is air-popped popcorn. Spray olive oil over it and sprinkle some of that molly mcbutter over it and it is SO good and very low in fat. And whatever excercise you're doing now, double it! Perhaps you could walk to work in the morning and RUN or JOG home at night. After your dinner, you could go for a bike ride, or another walk, or skip rope - just sweat! hope that helps.

What? You want to "live"??? You make this sound as though you will DIE if you don't lose 15 lbs. I think that is a little dramatic, don't you?
Eat less, eat healthy and you do have to exercise. If you really want to lose weight (and if you really need to lose weight in the first place) you have to do what it takes. No excuses for not exercising.

to lose some weight, just eat healthy foods, exercise (don't overdo it), and stay away from junk food and trans fat and saturated fats. trans fat is found in burgers, fries, any kind of greasy food or deep fried foods. If you eat those, losing 15 lbs will be impossible. eat a lot of healthy food. if you eat some vegetables with meals, thats good.
WARNING: If you throw up your foods, you will lose essential nutrients for your body, causing organs to stop working.
if you stick with NO JUNK FOOD OVER THREE WEEKS, good exercise, healthy eating habits, you will lose that 15 lbs. for your special occasion.

Take a jog every day, stick to healthy foods, such as salad, fruits, and vergetables, do some sit ups, be active; but don't over do it. Your body can only take so much. Good luck!
