I heard a couple of days ago that besides the movie was improvised all the people that appeared on the movie thought Borat was real that he was a real reporter from Kazajstan and they didn´t knew it was a parody to us, jewish people, etc.
( all of them excluding sasha baron the fat man i don t know his name and Pamela Anderson ) I don´t imagine that it was real when he ran naked across the hotel and nobody knew he was going to do that, when he broke the things, when he bought the car, when he started to insult women, when he went with the black people Is it true that people didn t knew ?

I really don't know, I believe that no one knew it was fake. But I don't know HOW he got away with running naked!!! And did Pamela really know it was fake? Haha..

The only person who knew what was going on was Pam Anderson at the end of the film. All of the other instances were real and the people didn't know that it was for a movie -- this is why so many people are suing Sacha Baron Cohen now. They insist that they should have been told it was for a movie, because they behaved so poorly and wouldn't have done so if they had known people would see it.

No one knew he was acting! The beauty of the actor. Everyone reactions in the movie and on the tv programme in the UK is amazing. Non actors arent that good at pretending they are genuinely shocked i dont reakon! :)

It is true!! They did not know that he is an actor -- it is just like his TV show -- all the interviews are "real" too! That is what made the movie funny.

they were all clueless that he was a actor...they really thought he was a reporter from whereever
