Ask an attorney to draw up a standard POA form to sign.

There are different types: financial, health related.

It's not that expensive per se, but if price is an issue, you may find either a standard form from an online site, or you might want to seek out a paralegal to draft it.

Either way, please READ it carefully, and make sure it's what you want. Also, if it's to serve for a specific purpose only (i.e. oversight/construction of property), you can have an expiration date on the form to reflect the scope of the project as opposed to a full POA.

Good Luck!

Don't.

If you do, make it for explicit, limited and well defined purposes. You will need it to be notarized. If money is involved, I would suggest you deal with a financial adviser and an attorney.
