Resources for an auto repair shop small business plan...?

Question

Where can I research how to start a business plan? Any ideas on what I should look for, and prepare for? Currently prospecting for hubby and will take accnting classes prbly if he does this, but for now just need to know where to start.

Make use of SCORE (service corps of retired executives)- it's one of the SBA programs. Good idea taking the accounting class, if nothing other than to gain a basic understanding of bookkeeping, etc. I am a small busniess owner as well, and accounting know-how comes into play often, even though our computer does most of the work...
