Hi,

What you've got to do is set all the system settings to chinese (cpanel), otherwise, in order for you to be able to play chinese/japoneze games, you must have Applocale (a small application that emulates the native OS environment that the game requires. As to the text translation, try Atlas) Google it, applocale is free and atlas has a 30 day trial version which you can try and see if it works.

go to the regional and language options under the control panel. once the window comes up click on the "languages" tab. there should be a check box that says "Install files for East Asian languages" check it. It will say you need to install and it will take some space. install it. it will tell you to restart, restart. go back to regional and language options. Click the "languages" tab. click on "details" button. go to "add" and add whatever Chinese you want. after that you need to turn on the language toolbar. also input shouldbe IME standart or natural input if in US. there all you need to do is switch between what you want to type. Learn the special drop downs. can't really help with Chinese, if Japanese it'd be different.

Hope this helps

The problem is Windows. If you want Chinese windows, it only comes with the PC when you buy it. You can't buy it and install it because Microsoft doesn't sell it that way. Anyway, that is the way it used to be and I don't think it has changed.

A computer can not read or write any human language.
There are some optical character recognition software packages, but they don't interpret language.

You are correct when you wrote that 'you' can read (English).

Try contacting the manufacturer to ask if they have an English version of the software!

you may need chinese windows. Chinese game will tend to run on Chinese windows. However, other stuff, you can download NJcommunicator to read, but then IE6 or IE7 can read chinese anyway.

For game, you do need chinese windows.
