Why did my computer all of a sudden lose it's sound?

The volume is all the way up, everything is hooked up correctly and all that jazz. BUT, I clicked on the volume icon in the right hand corner, and a little box popped up that said there are no active mixer devices available. What the heck does that mean?

You need to download & reinstall your audio driver(s). Go to the homepage of your computer's maker, you should be able to download them there.
