Ok, well on Myspace, you pick your friends! So, you can make your site christian related and look for other christians and add them and them only....then you will always be talkin to just christians. If someone tries to add you that you do not want as a friend....deny it and turn them down!! You make your space.....well lol duh....its MYspace...lol....how dumb of me!

You can go to mypraize.com

I hope that everyone is enjoying the end of winter. Several times in the past months I have received emails regarding the fact that we have non-Christian religions on our registration and profiles. We have been judged, criticized, and slandered beyond belief over this, so I would like to take the opportunity to explain who we are, and why we have these selections available for “religion” on our registration pages.

First off, MyPraize was built for Christians; there is no way around that. MyPraize is not, and never will be perfect, but we try as hard as we can to make things are clean, and safe as possible. When the site was built, there was never an inkling in my mind that it would grow to be this size, or have this much traffic. I never envisioned having 500-800 a month of hosting bills; and I never imagined that I would meet so many awesome Christians from all over the US, and have the opportunity to witness to so many non-believers on a Christian site.

Many feel that having non-Christian religions on the registration page some how, is an attempt for us to be “politically correct”. Some even think that we are trying to open our “niche” up to a wider market in an attempt to get more customers. These unfortunately are merely guesses, and far from the truth, and quit frankly hurt.

MyPraize has had those Religion selections on the registration page since day one! We feel that if we are to allow non-Christiansonto the website we should WANT to know what their belief system is. If they have questions, or seek biblical guidance, I would surely want to know what background they come from. I would also expect pastors to understand this, especially youth ministers who statistically have higher numbers of non-Christians among their groups then do regular pastors.

MyPraize has never considered taking down the religion selections, nor will it be considered in the future, if we are to do as Christ did, we are to accept all users where ever they are at, and bring their needs to Christ. We are to train them biblically, and we are to relate and witness to them the best we can. Think of MyPraize much like your church. Your church certainly would never turn away a non-Christian if he decided he wanted to start coming, yet that is exactly what “Christians” have asked MyPraize to do.

I hope this friendly letter helps explain the mystery of the different religions on registration page, and I hope that every one can use these selections to help them understand better the users they meet and encounter on a daily basis.

God Bless,
Joshua Holmes

Why would you want to do that? Isn't part of the Christian belief to love and accept all mankind? Aren't you supposed to be accepting of other people's views? Why would you want to exclude people who could be really good people, but aren't christian? Open your mind....
