I have 4 month old twin girls who were born with an entire head of hair. Recently the hair on the back of their head has starting breaking off or falling out completely. Any suggestions?

Honestly... there is nothing you can do you make hair grow. There are a lot of myths out there, but they are just that... myths.
To avoid any further hair loss, try keeping them sitting up/on their bellies more often. They're loosing it because their head is rubbing against things in that spot.

If you're having issues with the way it looks... may I suggest some cute bonnets? Perfect solution for little girls :) I am so excited to put bonnets on my little girl when the weather gets a little warmer :P

I use coconut oil in my daughters hair. You can find this at some herbal shops. It's all natural, so much so that it's used for cooking, and the lady who sold it to me said she takes a tablespoon of this a day, and she has the most beautiful skin hair and nails.
You should put it in their hair about 2 hours before their baths, and then wash out excess so their hair isn't too oily.
It's not a miracle remedy, but the bald patch in the back has gone away, and I can see a difference.
Everyone else is right though, this bald spot will eventually grow in on it's own, but the coconut oil may speed things up a bit.

Hon there isn't anything you can do for babies losing there hair. It happens but it will grow back. The main reason it breaks off is cause they are on their backs so much or sides. IT just rubs the hair right out basically. As they sit more and get more mobile the hair will grow back full and thick. Mom to 3.

That is completely normal. It is because of how they rub their head in their sleep on the bed and other places. And their head is growing I'm assuming too. The only thing to do is wait with time for it to grow back. Its very common though. Soon they will have a full head of hair again :)

Not much you can do thats normal !! I have 2 sons but i didnt have that problem with my boys ... let me tell you why ..... in my religion before the baby turns 7 days old you have to buzz his/her head and i did that with my sons after i did that my 1 year old son had hair up to his shoulders and my 2 year old son's hair is sooo thick and curly its hard to manage at times ! But your daughters hair will grow back soon . Goodluck !

i have twins too! one of them has hair and the other one is just starting to grow some. they're 13 months. the hair on the back of your girls heads is coming off because they lay on it all the time. try putting them on their stomachs.

Well, it's coming out because of the way she lays in her crib. There is no way you can "make" it grow back, as laying on her back is the safest way to sleep.

There are pads that you can buy for a baby's crib, which help them sleep on their side...just a bit...this may help somewhat.

Most babies lose their hair at some point. This is normal. It will grow back in time.

I heard that rubbing their head with olive oil helps. Also cut their hair frequently to stimulate growth.

This is entirely normal and don't worry about it. They are rubbing it off on the bed or chair.
