All About is correct and telling you the truth about AOL and Active Virus Shield.

You must remove the other Antivirus programs so they will not conflict. Many AV program will not download or operate until the others are removed. Do it. You won't be sorry.

Spy Sweeper is an AntiSpyware program and is not a problem. It is a very good program and you should continue using it.

I've been using AOL active virus shield for several months now and I haven't experience any problems. Of course, AOL has a terrible reputation for hard selling tactics and invasive advertisement. But, AOL active virus shield may be an expection. You need to register in order to receive an activation code for the program. You can use a disposable e-mail address if you are worry that they will spam you. I've used one and have never received any spam from AOL. The program itself is fabulous. It automatically updates and scans without a problem. The controls are easy to learn and are very intuitive. Unlike other antivirus programs, it doesn't use a great deal of computer resources. I haven't experience any software incompatiability. In addition, the program doesn't phone home. Unfortunately, some free programs communicate with the company's server and it is not known what information they send. It is a good choice for an antivirus program.

You really only need one antivirus, I have Kaspersky too, that's all you would need, especially with dial-up. All of the firewalls will just slow down your computer and Internet access.
