I vaguely remember watching this film about ten years ago, but can't for the life of me remember what it was called. The female lead lived in a house that used to belong to a murderer, unbeknownst to her, he had built passageways between the walls and was still living there. At the end of the film there was 'the big fight' and it ended with a heavy metal 'lock down' door dropping on the murderer, producing a pool of blood. When the door was lifted he was gone. I seem to remember an icon, a triangle with an eye in it, and the male lead lived in a house opposite. I'm beginning to think I imagined the film as no-one has a clue what I'm on about - please help!!!

i remember that film i think its called "Through the Eyes of a Killer" with richard dean anderson and it was in the 90s. the lady with the red hair from csi was in it as well, i hope this helps

No you are NOT imagining this movie, I saw it too, but that is about all I remember, Lets see, didn't the lady have a little boy who kept telling her about his "friend" that would visit him and she just dismissed it as one of those imaginary friends, but it was really the murderer who was coming in during the time she was sleeping ?
Just wanted to add, I see that someone thought it might be bad Ronald. That is one that is similar to this one, but in Bad Ronald the boy is hiding behind the shelves in the pantry, and really is a sympathetic character in a lot of ways. this was a lot more scary, and suspenseful as you really aren't sure if this lady is crazy and imaging all this stuff until the very end.

I think "Bad Ronald" is about a teenager who kill a friend and his mom keeps him in the basement. She covers the basement door with wall paper. Below is the Trailer for "Bad Ronald"

I remember something similar also, but I can't remember the name of it. For some reason I think one of the Baldwins actors might have been in it.
