People have different personality traits and attributes, and sometimes, you have for instance a great husband or mother or other, but they have this one thing that bothers everyone, even they get in trouble because of it (IE. lack of religiosity, being nervous, hard to live with etc...)

Can we change those people? Can we, with wisdom, patience or something else, really help them be better themselves? Or is changing others IMPOSSIBLE?

I'd love to see thoughtful answers.. Thank you

We can't change others unless they want to change themselves. We can let the people in our lives know (politely) what our concerns are. And if they respect us and care for us, they will make an honest effort to change. Or at least make some kind of acknowledgement of our feelings. And we should respect them for that. And if they don't change because they are stubborn and selfish, then we just have to accept the fact and move on and surround ourselves with people who do respect, care and love us.

Most of the time, it's their choice to change rather than someone telling them to change. Every person has something that usually becomes a pet-peeve for another person - but then again it's something that person posseses and they can only change it if the problem reflects on themselves.

It depends. We can only advise people on their ways but it'll be hard to change them. People learn from their experiences. For example losing someone you deeply love can make someone change in the way they express their love to their next lover. All I can say is the only way a person can change the way they are is only through life experiences.

You cannot change people all you can do is stand by there side and be there for them until they are ready to change.Cause until they are ready to change things within themselves no mater what you say or advice you give them they will go the other way

You know that is hard, some things about people I do not think you can change.. but some things are changable, Like my ex was raised with no hugs not I love yous yet in time he came to say it, but Kindness you can bring a bitchy person down with kindness too I think. But if they are natural liers , butt holes, you know some thing like that I do not know that they can change....

There is only one person we can change & that is us. We can't change anyone
else unless they want to change. A lot of people resist change. We can show by
positive example but in the long run it's up to them. I hope this helps.

Well you can only make them see the problem ... that is if they are willing to consider it ... maybe then they can try to change themselves ... but to your question, NO you cannot change somebody else unless they themselves want to.

I dont see the point in wanting to change someone, You either like or love the person for who he/she is or you dont. Its really that simple.

That only depends on the person you want to change, no matter what your efforts are if they refuse to change they will never change.

I've learned, I can't change anyone..the only one who change someone is themselves..BUT, if someone doesn't "see" what their problem is, they can't fix it..and then, there needs to be a willingness on their part to change.
