. . . that my cat would die. I saw myself crying in my room, writing her name and the date that she died, which was two days later. Two days after I had that dream, my cat /did/ die. And last night, I had a dream in which I saw my bestfriend dead on the floor and I saw that I had a knife in my hand. Now I'm terrified of my dreams, and I really don't know what to do. I've have many premonitions, and /most/ of them have come true. I don't want to lose her, much less be her assasin. I wish I knew if that dream will come true soon or not, but I don't. Can anyone help me, please? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

well, first things first, stay calm. the thing is, it may have been a premonition, it may not have. perhaps in the back of your mind you knew something was wrong with your cat. and it was a guess that by the strangest of coincedences was true.
but as i have mentioned before (to another question) you know that some people believe in the repetition of the same life, or the rebirth of another for the same individual. you may even be one of them.
i personally believe in the repetition of the same life, because that would explain deja vu. i have also grown to think that dreams, (or dreams of the paranormal belief) are like clips or warnings from past existances of our lives, to help warn us to possibly change the outcome or to prepare for the event.
i am afraid there is no real way to decipher whether or not your dreams, or rather "premonitions" will come true. but one way you might find is to strain the dreams of all logic. seperate possible from impossible. in the dream of your cat, for instance, it viewed you a date and the real name of your cat, two realistic details. it also viewed your room. yet another realistic feature.
the more logical your dreams are the more attatched to real life you will find them. now, those weird unexplainable, couldnt-happen-in-one-billion-years dreams, are further from reality. your mind uses those dreams for problem solving.
unfortunately the way you described the dream, it sounds very realistic, but dont fret. maybe for the next few days, avoid any possible conflict with her. who knows what may have lead to that dream. perhaps inside you are mad at her for something but it doesnt come to mind automatically.
the paranormal is hard to explain but i do my best. i really do hope it all works out for you and your friend. and i am sorry about your cat.

I think that what has happened to you is mostly just a coincidence. Dreams often show us what is on our minds, what scares us, or what we worry about. That does not necessarily mean that your dreams (all or any) will come true. I wouldn't start being scared that everything you dream is about to come true. To help sleep better and not have those dreams, try to be calm before bed, and meditate, read, or listen to soft music being retiring. Those things might keep your mind a bit at ease. Good luck. And, I'm sorry about your cats. Many regrets to you.
Regards,
M.

You had no power over your cat, but you do have power over your violent impulses. Be aware if anger is building up.

Try not to obsess over it, and try convincing yourself you don't have premonitions.
