i am replacing the oxygen sensor and i want to buy it off of the internet because it is about half the price, the thing is i cant find the same one i have, my oxygen sensor has one wire going from it on the manifold the wire is only about an inch and a half long then it goes into a connector with a plug and a thicker wire that is about 8 inches long and into that plastic tubeing stuff that holds all the wire then i think it comes out of that by the coil and connects to the coil with 2 wires, when im looking for new oxygen sensors they have the ones with one wire but no connectors or anything, and they have some with 2, 3, and 4 wires then some with connectors but the connectors dont look anything like the connector mine has, i was just wondering what i should do.

Why are you replacing your oxygen sensor? Was the Check Engine Light on and there was a code in the system for that oxygen sensor? You have to use the exact oxygen sensor. Do not go the cheap route! It will not be cheap in the long run! A good auto parts store should be able to get you the CORRECT one or, believe it or not, sometimes getting one from the dealer is actually the most cost effective!

The only o2 censor that you need is the one with the small 2 inch wire. You dont have to replace the entire length, just up to the connector. Make sure you have the specialty tool to put it in.

I'd just go to your local part store. getting parts on the net is cheaper cause of more places to choose from but if you get the wrong item can be a hassle to return and alot of time to wait. I bought a part off ebay over a month ago, was sent wrong part, had to pay to return it. now I have a complaint against the person and still no part
