And what else will I forget when I grow older? And if you forget is it as if it never happened? Will none of the things you saw or thought or dreamed matter?

Well I'm not just talking about me...more like everyone in the world. I've always wondered about these questions.

Everything that has happened to you, whether you are able to bring it to memory or not, has made you who you are today. That's one reason people go to therapy to find out how they can change today by making sense of yesterday. So everything matters. Just because you can't specifically recall every experience and every waking (or sleeping) moment does not lessen its contribution to what you are today. Everything matters because you are not an island...everything you do also has an impact on others. There are things that happened that involved you that you may not recall, but it made a great impact on somebody else...and they remember...trust me. What will you forget when you get older? Possibly everything if you get Alzheimers. It's not that important....your individual memory...because there are so many other things involved that even then you will be contributing to someone elses memories. And besides, the Lord remembers everything about you. You are never insignificant. The world will always be changed because you are in it.

Well I cant tell you what you were thinking when you were small but I can tell you why you cant remember. The reason you cant remember a lot from when you were small is because your mind is like a computer, and sometimes it can lose memory especially old things. Im sure you can remember vaguely what went on but not all of it. It's a very normal thing and everyone has that same problem.
