I don't know! I just got to that part today in 2nd period and I almost cried infront of everyone!!! It was just sooo sad!!!! It almost kinda changed my whole view of the book! I would NEVER EVER guess something like that would happen! That was just the climax!!!!! alittle late for a climax but still!!! It changed the whole book awww it was sooo sad!!!

who knows. its just so sad and a part of the book. i love that book and i seen the movie its really good. i cried at the end.

its supposed to be a sad story. jess was so stupid to try to impress his teacher that he let leslie die.
