im am sorry, but i am so annoyed with everyone (80 % of america) who says that they are against the war in iraq. i think that what we are trying to do over there is great, we are spreading and promoting democracy, i dont get why people want to pull our troops out of there, iraq will fall in chaos, and possibly turn out worse than it used to be. we cant just stay in country and isolate ourselves if the world isnt perfect. i understand that troops are dying, but there will be deaths either way, it will either be the troops dying for democracy, freedom, and for america; or it will be american civilians in another 9/11 attack. we cant just pretend that the world is ok just cuz we dont want to get involved, otherwize, while we are in denile in our country, a monster like iran, or north korea, or iraq will gain power that we will leave us with devestating results. i think
that if you're not supporting your team, then why the hell are you in their stadium? get the hell out!

The premise that IRAQ had anything to do with 9/11 is wrong and has been demonstrated to be wrong over and over. Sadam was no friend of Bin Laden. The premise that our troops are out there fighting for America is also questionable. The only Americans that are enjoying any benefit from that war are the private armies and arm dealers, along with power hungry narrow minded politicians, who even if well intentioned, are wrong to think that our society is something that can be impose on other peoples. The war against the terrorist of 9/11 is the war in Afghanistan, and it should be a war against poberty and ignorance, not people.

I think everyone wants Iraq to become a free country and a vibrant democracy. The problem is that after US troops and their coalition partners liberated the country, the majority of Iraqis did not want a government like that in the US. The Shi'a majority believe that they should be governed by an Imam with absolute authority similar to that in Iran. It is part of their religion. President Bush just will not accept this. This country is in a civil war with no end in sight. US soldiers are simply targets of opportunity for the various insurgent troops. There is no way to rid the country of these groups through military force. I think if it looked like this were possible, most Americans would support the great sacrifices already made. The US cannot impose a democracy. About the best that can be achieved would be areas of freedom which could be secured such as the "green zones" already in place.

The question of support should be whether or not Mr Bush is supporting the American people?
When President George Bush is right, it's great because he is a very stubborn man. But, when President Bush is not in tune with the American people, his stubbornness is still maintained, and he can look bad.
The final outcome of the war in Iraq will be evaluated in 20 years when its all over and some youngster in school raises his hand and begins, "well, I think the war in Iraq was...."
Until then, who knows!

saddam hussein hated al qaeda and killed them wherever possible. Democracy takes about a thousand years to achieve and must be done by the people themselves - it cannot be imposed from outside. You should think about an Arab proverb: brother hates brother, but brothers will unite against a cousin. Is your country being invaded by Iraq? If not, then why are you invading it? Why declare war on a country not threatening you?? the answer is oil. There will never be peace in Iraq because it is a falsehood anyway - Iraq was created by the British; it locks up in 'one country' three implacable enemies who should each have their own small countries: Kurds, Shia and Sunnis. It's like aliens with unbelievably powerful weapons turn up in the US and say OK geographically it makes sense to make US, Mexico and Cuba one country - now stay peaceful y'all or we'll blow your earthling assses off. think about it.

From stealing the election to this war and running the country further in debt. It is obvious that democracy = killing. You need to learn how to use the shift key and spell check. Grow up. I am offering you free brain surgery. Please don't ever run for office. I do want to leave this messed up nation but the controlling government will not let me.. It was stolen from my ancestors and is getting worse with thinking like yours. This war just fuels the fires of hatred and you may be next on the terrorists list. I suggest that you go sign up to fight and then after your third tour and missing limbs see where you stand when you return and you are not taken care of. Bush i$ only in it for the money. Thank God for term limits and I hope you are not old enough to vote. Blaaaaaah

The war in Iraq is stupid. why not promote democracy without sending troops there? Killing Saddam Hussein is OK, but honestly, HAVE YOU SEEN ANY WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION? in the end, Iraq turned out worse than when the US soldiers went there. WHO THE **** ARE WE FIGHTING OVER THERE?!!!!!!!!! setting up a democracy by killing people. Right. if we keep going on like this, there WILL be another 9/11 style attack, but it might not be just because extreemists think Islam is right and every other religion is wrong. I really dont think alqaeda is based on Iraq. The war is stupid (like I said before). I feel sorry for bush (he lost too many brain cells from all that alcohol and crack). it would suck to be that stupid

Why do Americans constantly feel the need to spread their values? When will people in America realize that there is more than one way to do things? Just because our president sends our militaries to fight a war, doesn't mean we have to support the cause. I will never disrespect a solider for doing his job, I will pay the president the respect that he deserves, but I WILL NOT blindly believe everything our government tells us. Our forefathers founded this country by questioning their government. What makes us different? The only way we can form solid convictions is by being investigative, not by believing everything we are told.

What has amazed me is for the first time in many years we have a President that is doing exaxctly what he said he was going to do. He runs the country according to what he truly believes to be in our best interest and not according to popularity polls. He has exhibited no immoral behavior while in office, that could be a problem. Democrats may not believe in the same things as the president, but that initself does not make him a bad leader. It is one unfounded attack after another wasting time and money with hearing after hearing to do one thing and one thing only, to make the man look bad. They have gotten a taste of their power back and they want it all now, so they will shamelessly make a simple thing like firing attorney generals that he appointed, into a scandal the likes of watergate. All the bashing hides the fact that they are doing absolutely nothing in congress to help better the live of the American people. What happened to 6 in 6, not one has been passed. The President is a great man and history will prove this. If you watch closely the democrats remind you of a child with his first bb gun trying to find something to shoot, after a while he just starts shooting everything.

Spoken like a true patriot. Keep the faith and don't believe all the Liberal media poles. Most of us realize the importance and support the war.
PS the people that pay all the taxes are the same that are smart enough to realize its need. We don't let hatred get in the way of our vision.

Yes I hate those 80%, but maybe I am the one that makes it 79%. The men are over there because they are stopping Communists. If they were not over here, there would be a bigger war than there is now. I agree w/ you 100% I love Bush, he is one of the best presidents, better than Gore would have been. He was better than Clinton, and I wish his wife wouldn't run.
Bush does a good job. The war is there so another 9/11 isn't here, ya know? I don't care if you vote me as a tard, i sill would pick Bush over any democrat.
