A really good one is a Master Replica's fx lightsaber. I have two of them. They are not toys, & they are expensive, but it is the closest thing to a real light saber. In price they are around $80.00 - $120.00, but if you can get one for $90.00 - $100.00 it's a good deal. There are also many different kinds of fx lightsabers, so check for all of them online before you buy one. I've seen the fx lightsabers at almost every online star wars collectible store, Master Replicas.com sells them, & Spencers Gifts & Borders Books have them too for sale. Hope this helps.

As previously mentioned, the FX lightsabers made by Master Replicas are awesome! The hilts are actually constructed of metal and have plexiglas blades in which there is a series of LED lights that illuminate sequentially. These look real in the dark and pretty cool in the light. You can see that it is on with all the lights on in a room!

There is also a guy in Texas who makes custom sabers similar to these. His are unique hilt designs not in the movies and his blades can detach, meaning you can carry around just the metal hilt. Check it out at www.parksabers.com.

Someone I know picked a couple up on E bay, £50 each...very realistic and makes the same noise and sound changes when you 'strike' someone...very good...not like a toy but like the real thing!
