I have combination skin, and I tried MAC's liquid studio fix. however the SA who helped me gave me an orangy color which doesn't match my skin, and it also comes off after a short period of time.

What's the best drug store foundation? brands like maybelline, revlon, covergirl, max factor, l'oreal, etc etc. MAC is okay too. the others are too expensive for me. I've heard alot about maybelline's dream matte mousse, people either really love it or really hate it. i don't know about that. What's your opinion?

Also, im thinking of using concealer under foundation to cover up acne and redness and eye circles. will that work?

it depends.
everyone has their preferences.
i LOVE neutrogena products.
i would recommend 3 in 1 concealer from neutrogena. and healthy skin liquid foundation from neutrogena.

i am not so sure about dream matte mousse i heard that it is very thick and tends to wear off. but Maybelline also has really good products!

Because you have combination skin and acne prone skin I would recommend sticking with mineral based products only! Mineral ware allows your skin to breathe and will not clog your pores. It also rejuvenates your skin while leaving it clean and healthy.

Good products that you can find at your convenient drug store would be a mineral based loose foundation by Loreal, they also have mineral based blushes out there aswell. This product works great on my skin, I have the same type of skin and have tried everything out there but found this to be the best so far.

Also some tips on keeping your skin clear: Whenever applying make up always use a clean brush or pad, wash your blush brush with soap and water and let dry atleast twice a week, if ever using pads always use a new one everytime you apply make up! When touching your face wash your hands thoroughly before doing so.

You will see DRASTIC results if you do this!

For oily skin I would recommend getting a product out there by proactive that is an anti oil lotion that you put on under your make up that prevents oil from forming, check out your nearest mall to find out more details.

Good Luck!

Love the mousse, it doesnt leave your skin oily so you dont need to follow up with powder, and its so light you cant feel it at all. Absolutely use concealer if you are trying to cover up a few flaws, liquid works best, you apply it with a little brush. (I use Avon concealer.)
