In some states you may already be divorced. Look in the yellow pages under "legal aid" and you may be able to get a free lawyer.

Only a lawyer can really answer your question!

The divorce is the easy part. Youre going to probably have to answer some real deep questions like why the hell did you wait so long? And what have you been doing all this time? And how is the court going to serve her her due process of law when no one has any idea where she is or if shes even alive? Good luck

Yes very easy as long as both parties agree to the divorce... you dont even have to have anyone represent you these days you can represent yourself but there is still a cost for the fileing... Try going to public aid in your area they will be able to help you or get you the help needed... I hope this helps ~ Good Luck !!

I wasn't aware that a divorce costs money and after 18 years, it is pretty obvious you both should move on and marry someone else, so if i was you, i would get a divorce, but I think a low income doesn't mean you still can't get a divorce.

If she agrees yes, contact a lawyer it should be nothing more than a formality.unless she seeks compensation in which case your fried, alimony, child support, property.especially if she feels a need for revenge,it could get messy, the best out is thru a lawyer, you may want to check if she had you declared dead,or had the marriage annulled.if you left with no forwarding address or no family to notify she could very well be remarried.start with public records, and whatever you find contact a lawyer, and to keep sh-t smooth contact her before the lawyer does.

Get hold of you local legal aid office and ask them about this. But I'd say that if you haven't spoken in all those years she most likely has filed already.
