After suffering 2 miscarriages in a row I can only give you advice on what I know...
When the first one happened I went to the doctor, and had a full medical exam, he suggested that having a D&C in the early stages was not a very good idea as it can cause scarring or perforations of the uterus, he recommended that we let nature take its course and wait for my body to expel what was left of the pregnancy, he did warn me to come back if I was ill...or if my bleeding started to get heavier rather than lighter...and to expect to bleed for anything up to 2 weeks after...as long as I wasn’t passing clots or my body wasn’t doing anything out of the ordinary.
After I found out the second baby had also died, this was done with blood tests over a few days to monitor my HGC levels and as predicted they had dropped dramatically, I again figured it was in my bodies own hands to take care of things naturally, but again if I had any illness, clots or heavy bleeding was told to come back to the doctor...
Your body will take care of things naturally and as long as you are not passing clots, bleeding to heavy or ill, then nature will take its course...if you are concerned though I would suggest you do see a doc immediately...
Really once the baby is gone, its gone, nothing anyone can say or do will change that fact, you will need all the emotional support you can get, and don’t be blaming yourself for it, miscarriages generally happen in early pregnancy because there are abnormalities with the baby, its natures way of making sure you have the healthiest baby you can have...
And...Don’t let yourself get into the "I'm never going to have a baby" mode...you will when the time is right get pregnant again...

Yes you need to go to the doctor when you have a miscarriage because there can other problems that can occur and plus if you want to become pregnant later down the road you want to no why you had a miscarriage this time so you can prevent it from happening again Sorry for the lost

Yes, you should see your doctor. There are two things they may do.
1. perform Beta HCG blood tests to make sure your levels have gone back to normal. An elevated level would mean there is still pregnancy tissue left in the uterus. Left there, you are at risk for serious infection.
2. order a sonogram to rule out retained products of conception.
3. confirm that you have actually miscarried. I've performed sonograms on a lot of women who were convinced they had miscarried but who's fetus was still there. Sometimes it is still alive, and sometimes not.
DEFINATELY SEE YOUR DOCTOR!

If neither of you've got a auto or any one that may take you, you'll name 911 and feature them ship an ambulance to choose upi your pal. She demands to get to the health facility immediately to be dealt with for her miscarriage and to ensure if she does desire a d&c that she will get one. If she is eighteen there's no approach that the medical professionals on the health facility will touch her father and mother until she says so. But sure she demands to be obvious and that demands to occur immediately to hinder contamination.

A doctor will tell you to have a D&C but if you ask them you will discover a D&C is by far riskier than wait and see. Doctors just assume women are too dumb to monitor themselves for signs of infection or excess bleeding.

The point is that there could be a little left inside and to avoid an infection, you should let them check you out.

I would recommend it for the mother's sake. There could be an underlying problem as well as the risk of an infection, bleeding, and who knows what.

Depends how far along you were. You do NOT want any placenta left in the uterus. It could be fatal and detrimental to another successful pregnancy.
