I went to school in Kentucky and know the rabidness of UK Basketball fans.... but what do they expect? Do they think that Roy Williams or Coach K will leave NC for the Bluegrass state? Will they miss Tubby? Or are they too arrogant?

The people in Kentucky are mislead, Kentucky will never be what they used too. Tubby has multiple sweet 16 appearances, a Championship and ran a clean program....Of course they will miss him, but unfortunately for the next coach he will be ran out after 2 seasons because Kentucky won't be able to recruit players to go there.

i'm a kentucky fan and you're suitable, i replaced into incredibly much to place up a query approximately this on YA. a large style of the Kentucky followers (who're extra often than not white) have been straightforward to allow Tubby flow because of the fact he replaced into black. And now that we've been given a white guy, it ain't no damn distinctive from final 3 hundred and sixty 5 days and the recruits ain't plenty extra effective. Hell, Tubby did extra in his first 3 hundred and sixty 5 days at Kentucky that Gillespie is doing. I nevertheless have admire and Love for Tubby and that i wish him all the final at his new college, I miss him nevertheless

Well iam not a kentucky fan, (GO CARDS), but i sure do hopw they'll miss him. They treated him like crap. His so called fans put FOR SALE signs in his front yard when ky as a team started doing bad and had a drought in the winning dept. How disrespectful is that? VERY! and Bill Donovan is the one taking over for the UK head coach posistion. Hes doint it for $5 million each season for 10 seasons.

Yes, they are going to miss Tubby. It's the players, not the coach. When other universities offer better scholarships to the better players in the country, they go where they will be seen more to go to the NBA. They want to go to a program where are winning, to get that light.

He's been a great coach. One of the best of the last decade. So he will be missed. But at the same time sometimes bringing in new blood is needed to get that spark back, and a change may be good for him too.

Yes they will. Tubby Smith had ethics and cared for the student athlete. That will be hard to replace.
