It's not so much obeying your husband but it taking into consideration of his feelings. I always second guess what my actions are going to be cause I love my husband and he also does the same. We are a team not against each other. We married for better or worse.
If you both have hobbies then you do get a break, it's all about what you consider a break.
Take care and I hope all goes well.

I know and this old fashioned crap has to change! Equality is fair. Now, i am not saying all men are overly bossy with their women and some are lovely. Although this is a low percentage in my opinion.
I think it dates back to cavemen days when the women looked after the cave whilst the men used to club the other cave men over the heads with their clubs and bring the tea home!
It is only recent where women are starting to get what is fair. Women are the strong sex, they make the babies and give birth (to the men) while the men sit back and chill.
If the men want respect as the one to obey they must fulfil their role to look after the woman and children and the bills. As there are many men who dont.
And why is it that men try not to change their woman and women try to change their man??!! Odd race! :)

In what civilized society do women still have to obey their husbands? Im not married but I can tell you without a doubt that I will NEVER take orders from anyone including my husband. There is absolutely no grounds to have to do so.

If my husband saw this question, he'd be rolling on the floor laughing. He doesn't think I ever do anything he says. Actually, I do, but when something means a lot to me or I have a strong opinion about something, I absolutely put my foot down. He does too though so I guess our relationship is a good mix of give-and-take.

I don't obey my husband and he doesn't expect me to. We work things out and agree. We are both adults with equal say in our relationship

It is important to maintain family structure. Negotiate with your partner and express what you want. Compromise is always possible.
