I have a 92 Mazda, and my door frame is very rusted. How do I remove the car door and re-assemble one while keep my existing window? Is it more wise to get a professional to do it?

common sense and mabye a hand removing and replacing the door should do it...the basics are.
*.remove door panel.(few screws,,and panel pops)
*any wiring harness clips..if you have any remove wiring from door(they come in at the front of the door)move them out of way for reassemble, also remove lock and handle if you need them...i dont know what all parts of the door you have)
*remove hinge bolts while making sure the door dont fall off..it needs to be held up another person would come in handy.
*get some stands or saw horses with a blanket over them..put the doors on the stands..remove one thing at a time and immediatly place onto the door you are using so you know where it goes..you may have to remove window tracks or whatever..mabye even needing to grind off rivets and replacing it depends...*assemble door replace..
*this is hard to teach over a computer, hands on training would be the best way to lean this kind of work...if you can find a friend that knows alittle about this and it should take no more than an hour if it dont need painted..

*home mechanic/bodyman

I'm assuming when you say door frame, you mean on the door itself.

1. Purchase a replacement door

2. Open the door

3. Place a block of wood on the outer edge of the door

4. Remove the bolts from the hinges on the door

5. Remove the door

6. Now would be a good time to inspect the pins & bushing in the hinges

7. Install the replacement door in reverse order

8. Before closing, check for alignment [hopefully you won't have to loosen the fender to adjust the door up or down]

Good Luck

its a very hard job, unless you are a professional i would not attempt it you might just make things worse. call a few different professionals and get more than one quote for the job.. you could also try the junkyard to!
i hope this helps...good luck

yes, get a professional to do it. this job is a hard one to do if you do not know what you are doing. or you could go to a salvage yard and buy one and have the paint shop put it on for you.
