Okay, this is a movie I used to watch in the late 80s; the characters were pretty much headbangers, maybe with a rural, midwest flare. The plot, well, I remember only that one of the kids goes a bit off his head and kills his girlfriend. There's a scene where his friends go to see the dead girl, who's left in a field or something. Kind of like a headbanger's version of Stand By Me?
Yeah, I know it's not much to go on. I did like the movie a lot. If you were a headbanger in the 80s, you would have related to this movie.

I think the movie you mean is called The River's Edge.
It had Keanu Reeves in it....I liked it because I was a headbanger in the 80's. LOL

A high school slacker kills his girlfriend and shows off her dead body to their friends. However, the friends' reaction is almost as ambiguous and perplexing as the crime itself. If that sounds right then it is River's Edge (1986) with Keanu Reeves.
