If the doctor prescribed it, im sure its fine. Im 39 weeks prego and my doctor said tylonel is completely safe. As far as i know its the only pain reliever you can safely take.

I had those migraines until mid way of my second trimester. My midwife and a doctor at the ER both prescribed Tylenol 3. The tylenol 3 never fully took the headache away but it definetly dulled the pain. I also ended up getting a prescription for something called phenergen or something like that to take the nausea away that accompanied my migraines. Those really helped but be forewarned-they will knock you out. Ask your doctor and see what they recommend!

Tylenol is the only thing you can take while your pregnant. Try not to try too many prescriptions while your pregnant just in case . If the are really that bad im pretty sure they might have something for you to take while your pregnant specifically for migraines. Oh and when your taking the tylenol you cant take more than 1000mg !!!!!

I too am pregnant and suffer from migraines. Last time I had one, my doctor told me to take two extra strength tylenol with a cup of something with caffeine ( she suggested coffee or mountain dew) and said that was pretty much the same as excedrin migraine but in much safer doses. I only took 1 extra strength though, and it went away in an hour.

Tylenol 3 has not been approved by the FDA for use during pregnancy. There are very few drugs that have. The drugs get to the baby at the adult dose and it takes the baby much longer to metabolize them. If you can stand it, do your baby a favor and don't take them. If you are less than 14 weeks absolutely don't take anything, even if you can't stand it.

My only concern is that Tylenol 3s contain a narcotic... be careful and consult your doctor regulary. Codeine is usually not something you want while pregnant, but I do understand where you're coming from as a migraine sufferer.

Tylenol 3's are fine plus your doc said it was okay to take. I've been in and out of the hospital and i was on way stronger meds like morphine and baby and i are doing well. just so you know Tylenol 3's might may you nauseous and may put you to sleep.

Tylenol 3 IS safe to take during pregnancy as long as you take no more than the recommended dose.
I am prescribed Tylenol 3 and it was approved through my OBGYN.
I have done plenty of additional research on this drug, and it is fine to take during pregnancy.

I am sure it is fine if the doctor said it was OK. However, I thought Tylenol 3 had Codeine in it. Isn't Codeine a narcotic? It seems strange to take that while pregnant.

I did with my second child because I had gallstone attacks sooooo often...i was prescribed them but to only take two at one time ever..they don't know all the affects they can have on the baby...if you can go without i'd suggest that . i also had regular shots of demerol and i'd like to think it didn't affect her but i have to tell you, for some reason...she is and has always been (since birth), difficult...probably no connection between the two but..funny and interesting to think about
