There are 3 different engines that year. Which one do you have? If you give me specifics I may be able to give you a link that gives you step by step directions on how to do it!

removing an engine is definitely DIY. You should get a Hayne's or Chilton Repair manual if you're going to do any major overhaul. You'll also want to label EVERYTHING (one end "A" and the other end "A") of whatever you disconnect. This will save you TONS of headaches later on. Be organized.

Basically disconnect everything that might be holding the engine to the bay (harnesses, mounts, etc.), and make sure that you have it chained up to a cherry picker or something so that it doesn't crash into the ground. You don't want that. Good luck and have fun!

Remove hood, unbolt everything and pull from the top. This is NOT DIY. If you need step by step directions, get a Haynes manual and a lot of tools.
