Wow. No no no. Your daughter is 10, she doesn't need clothing from Hollister at such a young age. She also doesn't need to be "branded" at such a young age. The media brainwashes tweens and teenagers into buying brand name items considered to be "cool". The result of that is a never ending habit of the younger generation buying everything brand name and wasting their parents' money.

uhh hell no.. shes 10 and youre going to be spending money on her for no reason.. becuase by the age of 11 she'll be need some new stuff... thats soo dumb their clothes are way to expensive to spend on a young girl... she shouldnt even be worried about that stuff anyway..

she should be grateful for what she gets becuase when she grows up shes going to learn that nice clothes dont mean anything... and if you buy her these high fashion expensive clothing now she will never learn the value of a dollar.

just talk to her and be like sorry were going to ross becuase unless you have 40 to spend on a tee shirt that is as thin as paper you need to rethink the way she thinks..

or like for her birthdays or special occasions you can buy her like a sweatshirt or an outfit from hollister but not just for whatever.. make her realize that you dont get nice things all the time they need to be earned and privilaged... not taken for granted everytime you go to the mall..

Does she need to? No. But the real question lies in the school system for a 10 year old. If she does not have the hot "it" item of this week (surely next week she'll need something else), she will be ostracized. Perhaps bargain with her and buy her one shirt for every good grade she brings home or for helping around the house. Hope it helps!

your child doesnt need to shop at hollister but she wants to fit in with the crowd of other kids i also have a teen daughter she complained that the clothes i bought her were cheap and not in style i didnt stat shooping at hollister for her until she was 13 years old that was the age that i thought she would take responsibilty for what she wears. hollister is a store more for teens and younger adults.

why not? as long as you're not blowing your whole paycheck on it! a few shirts here and there or a sweatshirt should be fine! luckily hollister is similar to abercrombie and lots of other brands yet it tends to be cheaper and about the same price as most other stores so theres really no difference in whether she's wearing hollister or jcpennys. besides as a woman you know how hard it is to feel like you're good enough in this world and if she thinks hollister is the hot thing then maybe you should let her wear it... just as long as she's not ubsessed or anything! :D

NO, if she needs those at the age of 10 just imagine in a few more years what brands she will be asking for such as....banana republic, gucci, armani....for a 10 year old that is just going to grow out of them and change their fashion in a matter of months is the outrageous amount of money worth it??

its your choice. people at her school are going to start wearing hollister/abercrombie soon anyway. and she's almost in middle school. i know some 5th graders who wear hollister. she might be a little bit young. if she likes it, she can wear it. if she doesnt know what it is and you want to get it for her, you should at least wait 1 or 2 years.

limited too is a nice store of younger girls like your daughter

Well, I'm 11 and I wear Hollister, Abercrombie and all the brands. My mom does not buy me most of the clothes though I have to buy the clothes myself. Most of the girls my age wear brands but I do not think you have to buy all the clothes for her if she really wants the clothes she should buy the clothes herself.

10...not so much. but if hollister is still "in" when shes 14, then of course! but dont spend it now cuz she'll grow out of it quickly and its $$$.
they have fabulous clothes and thats getting her ready for the fashion world just wait for a few years.
for now, shop at old navy and garage. there plenty of time for designer clothes!
