She doesn't make sure and still smokes pot and drinks reguarly. I tell her to quit but she won't. What effect will this have on the baby? It hasn't even developed yet from what I hear...maybe only a month! Help please?

I need to help her yes. But I'm almost afraid to find this out...can it kill the unborn child?

Well, she needs to quit while she's pregnant. The smoke and THC she's inhaling goes straight to the baby. And alcohol has bad effects on babies. It can stunt their growth or make them developmentally disabled. Please advise her to take a pregnancy test ASAP. They are really cheap at the Dollar Store or Deals.

You ask in your question, keyword "could". Though if shes not pregnent, you should help her quit smoking pot and junk. If she's not pregnent, and later becomes pregnent, and is still smoking pot, it will be harder to quit. You should help your friend with the issues that she's dealing with now, like her drug problems. You will be helping her, and a child that may or may not be coming. Good Luck.

Pot and Alcohol can be very harmful to an unborn baby. She definitely needs to test ASAP, and have a conversation with a doctor if she is.

If she's far, I have to tell you there can be permanent damage in this child. It's her life but should talk to her parents or someone of authority who tell her of her wrong ways. It's sad to know that a child will be brought to life by a irresponsible parent!!

Its her life. If she wants to be selfish thats her problem. You did your part as a friend by trying to help her.
