when i ended my last cycle of birth control i had my period as usual, then when i went back on to it expecting to have the bleeding gone within a couple days (like it normally is) it never stopped. i have had my period for 4 weeks straight now, and have no idea why. Pregnant? it isn't spotting...it's too heavy. the bleeding hasn't been constant though... one day i have it the next day i dont. any idea what this could be???

Birth control can mess up a lot of things. I personally can't even use the pill. I got migraines, hair loss and had my period for 3 weeks straight and so I figured I would take my chances without it. I couldn't find any that worked.

I to have the problem with long periods. I have gone two months with it and that's when i finally went to the Dr's. I would say its a hormone imbalance and you should get check out. If its very heavy you could become anemic. I

were you ever on depovara(sorry if i spelled that wrong) it's the needle birth control
But my friend was and had her period straight for like a year. Go to the doctor, see what they can do

It could be as simple as you have the wrong strength of birth control. I finally stopped using it because my dr. couldnt get mine right and I continually had a period.

Have you gone to the doctor. I had a simular situation but I would have it for five days and then it would stop for a couple then it would return. I really suggest you get it checked out.

Having gone off the pill, your body is probably trying to adjust but I would speak to your doctor as soon as possible. Describe your concern and situation and see what they say.

You need to see your OB/GYN. It sounds like a hormonal problem.
