Don't try to act as if you know it all. Realize you'll make mistakes. If someone strikes up a convo with you pretend to be interested. Be yourself. Remain open minded. Don't break off into cliques. If there's someone who shares some of your hobbies talk about them ( Let them do most of the talking). Avoid flammable subjects such as politics and religion.

After about 6 months or less you'll feel fine.

You realize that being nervous is your body's way of putting you on alert so that you can learn all of the new stuff that's coming at you. You remember that it takes most folks 6 - 12 months to come up the learning curve in a new job. You take lots of notes, you ask lots of questions (and write down the answers so you don't have to ask over and over!), you break down big tasks into smaller, doable chunks, and you learn from your inevitable mistakes. You don't get sucked in to office gossip until you know who's who and whether or not they are related to (or sleeping with) the boss.

You'll be fine - breathe deeply and treat everyone nicely. In no time you'll be showing the next new wide-eyed employee how to find the bathrooms and where the copier is.
