Nathan and Verlander are mine. Should I take Matsuzaka and Lidge for these two? This is not Rotisserie. Please help.

Keep your guys. Nathan is one of the top 2 or 3 closers in the game and shows no signs of letting down. Lidge has corrected a flaw in his delivery and should bounce back (plus i dont think they will pitch him in non save situations this year...his ERA was brutal mostly from non save games). Still a definative edge for Nathan. With Verlander you know what you have. It is possible he will back slide just a bit but I dont think it is likely. He was voted by a group of scouts this spring to have the hardest to hit fastball in the entire majors and has developed a decent breaking ball to make his fastball even more devastating. Dice K is too big a question mark to gamble the 2 guys you have to give up. My best guess....he is nearly as good as advertised (he was very good at the WBC against mostly ML bats) but he has to overcome cultural issues and a massive media following. As if that werent enough he has to pitch under the microscope in Boston...a couple of bad outtings early and Sox nation will be all over him. Just too big a gamble...stick with the proven commodities.

I probobly would not do this trade. Verlander will do very well and Nathan is aces.

Now Matsuzaka looks good but still too big of a question mark to put in an extreme ammount of faith and Lidge (althou I have him on every team) Needs to prove he is solid before you make big trades.

Basicly there is upside. But the downside may be a little too much

dont do this trade

No, I have always been a Joe Nathan fan and he is ranked up there, one of the top relievers in the league. My theorie with baseball is that ANY PLAYER coming off of a good/carrier season, will not have a very good season the next year (usually correct 85% of the time). But with Verlander there is youth and anything is possible. Lige is getting old and is going to start in the 5 spot this year (see how he does in the begining of the season, he won't be hard to get later in the season). But I have no problem with Matsuzaka, and have seen him pitch.

No, this is an awful trade. Joe Naton is one of the best closers in the league and you're replacing him with Lidge, who could lose is job. Dice K could be good, but he could be a bust. So this is what the trade looks like:
Joe Nathan vs Brad Lidge, Nathan is better
Verlander vs Matsusaka is a toss up
So you're losing out on the trade.

Two words- Hell No. Nathan the best fantasy RP. Lidge sucks or very shaky. Pick one. Dice K never pitched a major league game. Stay away from trades unless it';s something u can't resist

Yes. Verlander probably won't dominate this season, like last year. Daisuke will do well, and should be worth a roster spot. nathan is better than lidge, but Lidge isn't bad either. I would do it.
