Opposite of liposuction? Ever think of put silicone bags or something like that, like when they stuff in boobs? I heard now you can put them in your butt, and maybe in many place where you need them too. LOL LOL LOL --- just kidding!
If you're born to have very small frame and skinny, that's how you are, your doctor is right. And because you're already 25 years old, I think for the rest of time it will keep that shape, unless when you're pregnant of course.
83 lbs isn't that skinny dear, maybe you just being in an environment with big heavy people.
I don't think it look sick, I even like it, I like tiny girls, I wish my girlfriend was your size. She's heavy, about 115lbs and less than 5'.

There is a formula to quickly calculate the ideal weight. For a woman, start with 100 lbs for 5 feet. For every inch above 5 feet add 5 lbs and for every inch under 5 feet deduct 5 lbs. Take the calculated weight +/- 10% is the range for the ideal weight. In your case, 100lbs +/- 10lbs is your ideal weight. However, few people use ideal weights. Now, most people calculate the Body Mass Index (BMI), which is a better indicator for weight. For more information on how to calculate your BMI, please read Answers.com's information on the subject (http://www.answers.com/body+mass+index?initiator=IE7:SearchBox).

"A key index for relating a person's body weight to their height. The body mass index (BMI) is a person's weight in kilograms (kg) divided by their height in meters (m) squared.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) now defines normal weight, overweight, and obesity according to the BMI rather than the traditional height/weight charts. Since the BMI describes the body weight relative to height, it correlates strongly (in adults) with the total body fat content...[read the rest of the article]."

Relatively speaking, it is easy to gain weight. When the amount of calories you eat is greater than the amount of calories you use, you will gain weight. Some tips.
1. Drink fruit juices instead of just plain water.
2. Dairy products, like milk and cheese, are a good source of calories.
3. Pound for pound, fat has more calories than carbohydrates and protein. For example, both carbohydrates and protein will give you 4 kcal (kilocalories) per gram. Fat will give you 9 kcal per gram.
4. Eggs, fish and nuts are a great source for fat and calories.
5. Avoid high protein diets which can cause kidney damage (i.e. avoid those protein drinks which companies advertise to atheletes for adding bulk).

You could stand to gain some weight, but unless your doctor suggests it, I would not worry.

Opposite of liposuction is 2 meals per day (burger, fries and real soda) at your favorite fast food joint!

i feel your pain. I am 5'4" and 100 pounds and can't keep weight on. I increases calories in my diet by eating more healthy fats - i.e. nuts, protein shakes. I used to weight only 90....but this helped me gain muscle mass with the extra protein and working out.

What is the circumference of your wrist? If it is less than 5.5 inches (14cm), you may be okay as this means you are small boned.

But I have a feeling even if you are small boned, you are a little bit underweight. You could always have your body fat percentage tested to make sure it isn't too low.

HTH : )
