I don't think you can ascribe the Jedi philosophy to a political agenda. The way of the Jedi is a movement of spirit, not of politics. It's like asking if Christians are more liberal or conservative. It depends on the Christian. And it depends on your definition of conservative and liberal.

I believe that if you ascribe the conservative and liberal labels in regard to strong local government (conservative) to strong federal government (liberal), the Jedi would most likely be conservative. However, if you consider personal liberties, with conservatives in favor of the government overseeing your every move and liberals fighting to keep governments from removing their freedom, then the Jedi seem more liberal.

It's all semantics, man. It depends on your definitions.
