How do you conservatives justify saying the Democrats are cutting funding when it's Bush that will cause those cuts if he refuses the will of Congress and the will of the people of this country by refusing to set a deadline for troop withdrawal? This dictatorship is over, I don't care how much he threatens and blows and blusters. HE hurts the troops by not accepting this bill, HE is the one who will be responsible for seeing his funding requests tank because HE will not listen to the will of the people. Explain one more time how the Democrats are cutting off funding and not the President, and this time try to make sense.

Steven H., right again as usual. Savage shows his childish playground mentality by calling me a slut. I got a picture of him stamping his feet and turning red in the face lol. Screaming like stuck pigs aren't they?

Sorry SillyKim (apt name btw), but 65% of the American people want a troop withdrawal timeline. The majority voted in a Democratic Congress to do exactly what they have just done. If you can't deal with it, that's your problem. It doesn't reflect on the bravery of our troops or our support of the troops. It reflects on the mess Bush has made of this war and the harm that HE continues to place in front of them while they strive to do their duty. I served my country, I know what's it about, so don't try that "not supporting the troops" b.s. on me, I know better.

Actually Bugged, I can speak out all I please about the will of the people. Go ahead Bugged, find me a poll that says otherwise. Fully 65% of this country's citizens want a timeline withdrawal and an exit plan. I can read, that's how I know that information, can you read?

Thanks Gary, you've helped cement my belief that not all conservatives are ijits.

Aw, now SillyKim don't get your knickers in a knot. Here's your poll numbers you accuse me of getting from a "libtard" site. Trouble is, I'm not a lib, I'm not even a Democrat. I love my country very much and I'd put my service record up against yours anytime - you DO have one right? But I do have to apologize, it isn't 65%, it was 60%, now it's 63%, so sorry :).

Good post. All you will get from the Con side is name calling and false accusations. They're good at that when things don't go exactly their way. They can't talk real issues because they know they'll lose. So they resort to the name calling. I guess it makes them feel better.

I am of the belief that no we can not solve all of Iraq's problems. It now falls on the government of Iraq to implement security measures and take the steps necessary to govern themselves. If they fail to do this then yes we do need to pull our troops. I believe the September 2008 date should be the time when examine what the Iraqi government has done to improve the situation and at which time evaluate how many troops we will pull out, basically the better they do the longer our timetable would for with drawl would be such as for purely example:

50,000 troops at September 2008
Iraq Government establishes some control
We totally with drawl 1.5 years later.

If not 4-6 months later totally with drawl.

Obviously this is just an example.

ah... Republicans... cursing already about the bill...

they seem to be unusually troubled by your remarks... why I'm almost jealous... hahaha

Republicans have had everything their way for the past 6 years... and I've HEARD a few even say "Why aren't the Dems doing anything about Iraq, like they said they would?"

well... ask and ye shall recieve... hahaha

but, seriously... Repubicans say they know business... if you ran a business they way Bush has ran the war... it would be out of business by now... no timelines... no plans.... just "get it done" (whatever "it" is?)

even wars need plans, schedules and timelines... and timelines CAN be changed... but deadlines and timelines make sure things get done... ever see a business that didn't set deadlines to get things done and had no real business plan? They fail... just like the war has...

EDIT: and just a side question? How can you surrender when you're a third party in the middle of someone's civil war?

Please don't quote or speak out on behalf of ANY American Citizen with respect to what "the will of the people" want.

The "will of the people" put more democrats in the House, by what 49%?

And by how many percent did "the people" vote for the dem's based on entirely other issues than the war in Iraq? Since you don't know the answer to that, I would urge you to stop trying to sound like Sean Penn, Rosy O'Donnell, John Kerry, Ted Kennedy (burp... guzzle), John Edwards and dozens of other folk that only make accusations instead of actually doing something positive or substantial for our Country.

So the Democrats would fund the US military as long as they surrender...thats nice...So now they have given the Sunni insurgents, the Shiite insurgents, Al Queida in Iraq, and all the other groupd of exttremists in Iraq a timetable to wait out the US military. The Bil states all combat troops to leave Iraq by autum 2008...It is my bet that by Spring 2009 all the liberals would be saying "Why did Bush pull-out he should have stayed look at the disaster that was left when he left office."

They filled the bill with crap. They are using as like you just did. You veto it then you are letting troops die because of a lack of funding. With the bill is the 'pullout' timeline which Bush opposes. How about this...make a bill for them seperately. Troops are dying over sees will congress plays these baby games.

Nice comment. President Bush needs to veto this crap and send it back to the Democratic House and demand that the "pork" pay offs are removed. You're right the ball is in his court, and I hope he tells the Dems to go to hell. There is so much pork attached to the house bill that it is asinine! Millions of dollars, for storing peanuts, taking care of spinach, etc. Tell your representatives to submit a clean bill! They have attached what they think is important and it is not our troops, it's their pocketbooks. Pay attention for a change.

Sorry but the people I know think we should stay. That would be my husband who's over there and his unit. Maybe you should keep your mouth shut before putting words into people's mouths. You're hurting the troops for wanting them to pull out...What will they have served for? What have they given their lives for? How 'bout that apple?

I'm sorry, but where are you getting this 65% info? From your stupid libtard websites? That's what I thought. Shut your mouth and quit putting bs into other people's mouths. Don't you get it? Apparently not. Stupid people like you shouldn't be allowed in the military. You hate America! Dems don't serve their country, they act like they do, that's about it.

The ball is in Congresses court, they can offer a bill without a deadly deadline. They are hurting the Troops by not offering this bill.
