Princess Diana.
Her funeral was watched by 1.5 billion people world-wide.
She is still sorely missed, and I'm in the UK and will never forget the 6th September 1997, the day her funeral took place.
The world was stunned into silence.
That Elton John remained composed whilst singing 'Goodbye, English Rose', I will never know how he did that, but he spoke for not just the nation, but the planet.
I cried my way through that day.
The loss of a beautiful woman, in unexplained circumstances?
That's irrelevant.
The world has lost a person who had the ability to smile, and be encouraging.
Perhaps we could all still learn from 'The People's Princess'.

Possibly Kurt Cobain because his death was so famous, but Jerry Garcia, Syd Barrett and Brad Delp and Johnny Ramone were also great mucisians that died recently.
