Two Words Selfish And Coward, Selfish Because They Are Not Thinking Of The People Around Them Who Love Them And Want To Help Them, Coward Because I Think We All Get That Feeling Of Sinking And Not Being Able To Take It But You Have To Work Through It And Take Steps To Make You Own Life Better...

Depends.
If they go off somewhere and do it so there's no way of surviving then they really mean it and you have to wonder where everyone was when they needed someone.

If they do it where they can be found and possibly saved then it's a sick thing to do just for attention.
It's not a cry for help. if your a good person you'll have friends and only need to ask for help.

I had a friend who took his own life in another friends home.
He left a son who will probably always wonder why his daddy didn't find in him, a reason to be here.

And the friend who found him was so traumatised that he couldn't go back in his house again. He's still trying to sell it 3 years on, but no one will buy it because of what happened.
So many lives devastated.
I loved this man to bits, still do, and he was a dear friend, but I'll never forgive him.

As having thought about it often myself i never could quite pluck up the courage to do it. I have known one person who did and in a strange way i admired him for the way he did it, he did it on his own and in a v dignified way, although it was v upsetting, i know what its like when you think you have nowhere else to turn, fortunatley i have good mates. I do however think that terminally ill people should have a choice. I have seen a few of my family suffer when if they were an animal it would have been classed as cruellty. They begged for their life to end. Everything said at the end of the day it's those of us left behind who live with the questions WHY! HOW and IF ONLY!

i think that i am so glad i failed and that suicide is a sad thing and people think of it as a last resort instead of thinking about antidepressants or whatever will help your problem is whether it be fear of your dealer coming at you with a sledgehammer or losing it all at the casino your wife leaving you for another whatever everything happens for a reason and no matter what you think you will probably missed so please to anyone who wishes to commit suicide please stop thinking about it and just try all the other things that are possible tel ppl your problem (friends ,acquaintances, people on ask)and ask them what you should do about the problem try absolutely everything and then after all that if you still think you should do it then im sorry and im sure god will forgive you as long as you try everything else suicide is supposed to be a last resort or afailed attemp most people dont want to die and right before they die they go sh.it idont wanna die tell mom that....dead it is so fuc.king sad and i hope that you arent tryin to kill yourself i will miss you and if you wanna talk email me and ill be your friend the world has great need for you

I think that they didn't look hard enough for an alternative, you've only got one life and you're gonna die anyway at some point. You may as well stick around for a while to see how things turn out.

If your life totally sucks then change it any way you can. Ultimately we are all responsible for our own lives.

I am personally very careful of calling those people selfish and blaming them for something... they don't owe us anything. Everyone has a choice. That is our privilege of being human. But I think to do thing like that one should have a lot of courage and a very strong will. I am not talking here about people who do that in affection state (though you can argue with me on that one), but those who do that with a plan, which seemed to be deliberate action - that takes a lot of strength and something else maybe, that is far from our understanding....

I feel so sad that these people felt that there is no-one to turn to and nowhere to go for help. The relatives and friends have to go on usually blaming themselves for not having been able to help their loved one who was in so much pain. My daughter-in-law lost her brother by his own hand and she and her family have been through a whole range of emotions, they of course have to live with their loved ones actions.
So difficult, so sad, so pointless and such a waste.

I think that they must be some lonely people that really need help to let them know that they didn't even have to go there.because life is hard for us all and what you just did is not a quick fix because you live your love ones back here to try and under stand why you took your life.

I think they were emotionally blind at the time they didn't comprehend the extent of what they were doing. I feel very bad for them as a person. That they confused the wanting of their problems to end with the wanting to die. That because they were so distraught they couldn't see a different tomorrow.
