Many home pregnancy tests (HPTs) claim to be 99% accurate on the day you miss your period. But research suggests that most HPTs do not consistently spot pregnancy that early. And when they do, the results are often so faint they are misunderstood. If you can wait one week after your missed period, most home pregnancy tests will give you an accurate answer.
Pregnancy tests look for a special hormone in the urine or blood that is only there when a woman is pregnant. This hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), can also be called the pregnancy hormone.

It's possible you have an illness, or experienced an amount of stress that is delaying your period. However, it's also possible that you're pregnant if you are feeling pregnancy symptoms. Pregnancy tests won't show up positive if you have conceived within the last 2 weeks. You could be one week pregnant. Your best bet is to wait a week, week and a half, and if you don't get your period take another test. If this is negative, see your gynecologist, as it may be the sign of a more serious problem. However, be sure that if you do experience bleeding, that it is your period. Many pregnant women experience implantation bleeding, which will come roughly around the same time as a period but be much lighter and for a shorter time.

Do you have a lot of stress in your life right now. Some times if you have a lot going on your body will just naturally miss a month. If you are really concerned about it, and think that there is a possibility of you being pregnant then you should go and get a blood test. They are more accurate then the self home tests.

I hope what ever the answer is, that it is good news for you.

All of this depends on how old you are, how long you have been menstruating, if there are any other health problems present, and if you are sexually active, if you had sex during ovulation recently. See a medical professional. The health clinic should be a good place to start if you don't want your parents knowing or if you don't have much money or insurance. Good luck!

On the period part it could be stress related, but in particular because of the other symptoms you need to have your dr evaluate this to see what could be causing this.
