win-xp msg "corrupt dir or file /$Secure" and chkdsk runs every restart. HELP?

if chkdsk runs ever time you boot do you let it run
it you do and you still get it every boot you're looking at a hard disk failure I'd back up everything if I were you and replace the hard disk before a complete failure occurs

try to remove IE7, reboot and look if it helps.
If not, format.
