I was almost in the TYA version of Seussical. The show ended up being canceled, but I got a chance to read the script and I've heard a lot of the music. I think that Seussical is a fun show for everyone: directors, performers, and audience. It's fun to play characters that you've grown up with, especially Dr. Seuss characters like Lazy Mayzie or Horton the Elephant.

I adore it! The music isn't THAT great, but its good-- it's the story and what all the different casts do with it. It's so versitile, which I love. You can make it perfectly normal or absolutely crazy!
I was a bird girl, and I had ALOT of fun.

The vocals are fun to do, and its just an all around smiley show! (Hard work, though)

It is by far on my list of favourite shows to be in.... near the top, even.

i went to a music camp, and the musical theatre portion of it put on a skit version of it. I was in the chorus. I hated it. not being in the chorus, per se, just the play in general. The music was gaudy and annoying, the dance moves we had to do were totally stupid, and the storyline was spineless. I don't have anything about doctor Seuss, i love his books, they're crazy, and wild, and lots of fun. But for me, bringing them to life is just too much!!! I was miserable throughout the whole program, and didn't even bother to audition for a speaking role, which i normally do. This is just my opinion though, so check it out for yourself. a lot of my friends loved it, and my mom thought it was great too.
