i haven't had a menstration for about 3 months, went to a new doctor and she said after taking some tests that i'm not pregnant, but that she wanted to give me some meds, a hormone, to bring my period down. before she gave me the meds though my period started to come down and it's been off and on since. today it started comming down more, but she still wanted me to take the pill to make sure it comes down all the way. so i took the pill about an hour ago and when i went to the restroom, i seen like weird pieces of tissue that was red and stringy. almost like a big lugie would look like after you spit in the toliet. is this a blood clot? could this be why my period has been hestating so much? and is there something the doctor can do to keep my period comming down? my last doctor gave me a different hormone and it did bring my period down but then it stopped again the next month i had nothing, she did this twice. so i'm wondering whats wrong with me. has anyone experienced this?

Your dr needs to see if you have a hormone imbalance that could be causing this.

Some clotting with a period is normal. That clotting is actual lining from the uterus that is being shed during the period as it wasn't needed this month.

Ask your dr about hormone imbalances to see if this is the reason for the irregularity of your periods.
