I'm 17 and I know the risks of being sexually active and if somehting were to happen and I got pregnant, I would definitely have an abortion. I'm 17 and can't raise a child because I don't have the financial support or stability in my life to do so. My boyfriend and I have talked about this and we both realize thats the only option avaible should something happen. Adoption would not work for us and I don't want to be pregnant in highschool and then have to give away my child. That, in my opinion, would be harder to deal with emotionally than an abortion.
But we believe that the most important thing is that we don't get pregnant in the first place.

well, as young father myself I can say abortion isn't the answer. I am not a bible thumping freak or anything. I believe there is a consequence for everything you do regardless of what it is. By consequence I mean a reaction to a choice made, not a punishment your parents invoke on you. Pregnancy is the effect of Sex. Its not the purpose, like most religious crack pots believe. Pregnancy is the effect. Don't get me wrong Sex feels incredible and its easy to over-indulge.
I had just graduated High School (5 years ago). I was intimate with my Girlfriend daily. We were semi-cautious, we used the pull-out method for those who are curious. After 3 slip ups over the course of about a year of sexual activity, the last slip up resulted in an identical twin pregnancy. Aborting these babies would've been self centered and self Absorbed.
You have sex, you will eventually have a child that is just science. some will faster than others. Aborting the baby is like turning down your responsibility, running away from your problems. Its not a resolution, its a cop-out. It shows your lack of responsibility to handle problems with poise and maturity.
The problem is our society isn't really set up to support this common problem. I don't think it is un-natural for a young couple to have sex. Its how its been for years. In the not-so-ancient history it wasn't uncommon for a 25-40 year old man to take a 13-20 year old wife. I am not addressing the issue of right and wrong, just the history of sexual activity. The only ideal solution that the old school scenario provides is that an older man would be better equip to provide for a younger wife. Fast forward to now, if two Kids are fooling around and someone gets pregnant, it is almost guaranteed that the Parents will be heavily involved in the beginning of the life of that child and that the young adult / new parents will be calling on the financial assets of a lot of family members to make it work. I was older when my girlfriend got pregnant and was luckily able to support out children when they came term but i still needed some help from my Family.
Don't abort. if you cant support, put them up for adoption.
I'm 22 years old

I am 15 and pregnant and no I would never get an abortion. I know I should have been a little more smarter but I do think we should be more responsible on our sexuality because my sister is 16 and just had a baby 4 months ago and on the day she went into labor I found out I was pregnant that exact same day!!!!!! And if my boyfriend ever asked me to get an abortion I would look at him and slap him because it takes 2 to make a baby so half of it was his fault!!!!!!

I'm 16 turning 17 (no offence to any teen who is pregnant or any pro-life people) but I would have an abortion because I would be too young to raise a child properly (although i'm sure some teens are great parents).
In saying this, I would like to point out that my opinion is not based on knowing any teen that has got pregnant - therefore I do not know how it feels to be pregnant.
It also depends on the situation that the young woman is in to whether she would carry through the pregnancy or not but I do not believe it to be wrong to have an abortion.
This topic is really a controversial issue and I doubt that people are going to agree with what other people (including me) have said. Some people just think abortion is wrong based on their beliefs (either religious or personal) and other people believe it to be OK based on the different circumstances that the woman may be in i.e. would it be right for a rape victim to be forced to carry through a pregnancy?
Either way you look at it people are NEVER going to agree on this controversial issue.

I would never get an abortion reguardless of what happens. I'd refuse if my boyfriend told me to get an abortion too. In MY opinion it's murder reguardless of what happened. Sometimes some people can't help getting pregnant (Ex. Rape) and even then if they don't want that child they should put him/her up for adoption. There are many couples awaiting to adopt a child or a few and they have to be put on a waiting list due to the fact that there's not enough children put up for adoption. Think about it, if every woman who had an abortion actually had that child and put it up for adoption, how many more couples would have the children they wanted? Maybe it's just MY opinion but that's how I think

well to answer your second i am 14. and i think for some girls the right choice is to have an abortion. I think in general i disagree with the idea, but i think it is more important for a girl no to have to sacrafice her future. i also think sometimes these children are going to b raised in an akward enviroment because of how young their mothers are. but i think i a girl is in a position to raise the child in a healthy enviroment, and if she has support rom her famil and boyfriend then it is better or her to have the child, because it really is murder.

i am 14. if i ggot pregnant i wouldn't have an abortion and i wouldn't ask my girlfriend to have one. i think if you are responsible enough to have sex you should be responsible enough to deal with the consequences. i think abortion is okay because there is always a strong reason for it like you have been raped. yes i think we need to be more responsible about our sexuality.

I'm 13, but I still have the right to answer this =)
First of all, we definately should be more responsible with these things. That being said, if you end up pregnant, why let the unborn child suffer? At least give birth and put him/her up for adoption so it can grow up in a loving family instead of facing death before it even got to experience life.

Hell no! I'm a 17 year old dad with a 4 month old. My ex-gf is my age. She's not in our lives right now because her family didn't approve. In fact, they moved to another state. I love my son more than anything and my life is better now that I have him.
Peace
