I think they Disney is just trying to keep up with the times, not many familys have 2 parents living with each other anymore. 2 out 3 familys are divorced now. People don't want to see something that they can't relate too.

Mulan..because i watched that move 10000000000 times and i remember it by heart..OK her father was 2 be 1 of the persons of the family 2 fight but her dad has a cane and Mulan doesn't want him 2 go. so mulan cut off her hair just 2 look like a boy and tryed talking like 1 2. at the ending they find out that shes a girl and she save the emperor and her castle. so that guy had a crush on her and gave her a special sword..........
