Yes I do give an honest opinion, but ther is a way of saying things to take the sting out of them, it is called dipomacy.

To me it depends on the situation and how serious the other person is about wanting to hear the truth. I'd like to a woman about how she looked or how skinny she is probably, but of someone was very serious and wanted to know something for personal reasons, then I'd probably give them the low down in the nicest way possible.

yes, but i give them a true combination of possibilities of truths, in a diplomatic way because sometimes they will get opinions from several friends and after that they will choose there own , so i would let them know this,i would ask them to search there heart, and soul and then pray to a higher power of there choice for help he might not be there when they want them but they will be there right on time .

it depends on the person.
sometimes folks ask your opinion when they really only want you to endorse their own or they are secretly fishing for a compliment. so if it is a close family member or friend I tell the truth. if it's a co worker and I think they can't handle it..I do not. folks will sometimes use hurt feelings as a reason to extract revenge.
