i recieved an email stating that some msn services would soon become pay-access, and that if i sent it to 18 other people it would be free for me. is this real? thank you

Of course it's not real. MSN would make it publicly known...But not by forwarding it to 18 people...etc

It seems this is cleared up now, but when in doubt about whether or not a forward is true go to www.snopes.com It is very extensive and reliable. =]

you will probably find it has just installed spyware/keylogging software on your system when you opened the email and they are trying to get you to spread it to other people and then them to spread it again etc etc
