a couple of things may happen... one would be that the wheels continue to spin and the brakes are engaged in the rear... could cause severe heating of the rear drums/rotors. the other is if the brake locks up and the tires are ground down and deflated... not a pretty repair/

It could wear down your brakes significantly with the pressure the e-brake is applying. Also, the brake light on your car could stick and stay on.
