My twin brother and I are planning to get our licenses soon, and we were wondering if we are able to drive eachother. In CT, a new driver must wait 4 months until they can drive family members. Do my brother and I have to wait the 4 months and drive 2 separate cars everywhere we go together, or is there a rule around it? Any other twins who went through this? Please help!!

I believe you are confused. I found this on the Connecticut DMV site:

Restrictions on Teen Drivers

Over the past decade, Connecticut has increased its restrictions on 16- and 17-year-old drivers. Right now, the state has the following restrictions:

During the first three months of driving, the teen may only legally drive with one or both of their parents or guardians, one driver's education instructor, or one person over 20 who has held a license for four or more consecutive years.

During the second three months, the teen may drive with members of his or her immediate family.

They may not drive with more passengers than there are seatbelts in the vehicle.

They may not drive between midnight and 5 a.m., except for special circumstances or with their parent or guardian.

They may not drive while talking on a cell phone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That doesn't mean your brother can't be in the car with you. But it does say that you need another adult like your parent or guardian, or someone over 20 who has driven for at least 4 years with you for the first 3 months. In the second 3 months, you can drive with any family member, which would include your brother.
properly dude in case you wanna save your a$$ then you certainly gotta do the stunning element and tell the choose that it wasn't you that did this and that it grew to become into your brother.... yet you would be "ratting" out your brother. Your bro might desire to get some severe quotes including falsifying tips and forgery (or yet another suited term for applying somebody elses signature). first of all, definite that's good to have identity in a motor vehicle purely in case you forgot it at some point yet while your truck grew to become into stolen then human beings can purely thieve tips purely with the help of finding at your license, reg, and coverage... might desire to no longer sound undesirable besides the fact that that's.... Sorry i'm going off venture right here.... that's as much as you to tell the choose that it wasn't you.... 4 factors... what the hell did he do?! make certain you have a sturdy alibi to tell the choose.... good success guy!
I know of no state that requires the other twin to be in another vehicle...The only thing I can ask at this point is the license that you are getting... is the license a learners permit or regular drivers license. don m
