Last night i dreamed of a giant ipod mini i was looking down at it.I couldn't see what song or artists was on it only that the backlight timer was on. Does anybody know what this means?

Perhaps you want an ipod really badly. Either that, or the marketing barrage apple has invested in is succeeding at penetrating the subconscious mind.
Compare this to other dreams you have in order to find the "why" in those, and apply this to your latest dream about the ipod. What is the connection?
Perhaps the ipod represents the usual suggestions embedded in the marketing- ipod "means" to many people social inclusion, success, hip, young, sexy, and many other things.
And for this very reason, there is a counter-reaction in people who now see it as tacky, contrived, poorly adaptable, trendy (in a bad way), consumerist, materialist, bland, and conventional.

Your dreams are normal compared to mine. I dreamt that I was in the middle of a massive "barbarian" (for lack of a better term) war in a scrubby desert country, then it shifted into me trying to kiss an east Indian girl in modern times and then other random images. Kind of a cool dream. Did it mean anything? Not really, probably just that I need a little more excitement in my life. Your dream on the other hand is kind of surreal, but it really only has meaning within the context of your life since it came from your mind. The random people on yahoo answers probably can't help you answer that question since we don't know you. Most likely though you were just listening to your iPod during the day and your mind recalled that and you dreamt about it.

Dreams usually are symbolic, so you need to figure out what they different things stand for.
For example i could be interpreted as:
"You are on top of things / in control" (as you look down to, not up to something)
The ipod could stand for "fun" and you are looking forward to something fun, but you don't know what (can't see the artist).
But there are many more options about what it could mean, this is just an example of the possible symbolism.

i think its probably the fact that you have been thinking about your ipod quite a bit,or wanting one..maybe you use it alot which is causeing you to dream about it. dreams are usually based on things that we think about,worry about etc.. or have links to it.i dont think your dream means anything apart from you had a dream about an i-pod lol
next time just turn it on and dance!! lol

Could easily be one of those random things - I have those quite a lot.
Feudian interpretation-wise...It could mean that you finally got the thing that you want but at the same time you feel blinded by something you want to know; like something escapes you.

May be you looking to get a brand new one ,have you been looking at Argos when i look at stuff that i want i seem to dream of it ! ok no drugs or new i pod you got the latest , must be listening too much music I'm jealous nice one .

according to psychology some dreams have meaning and some are just random with no meaning - i wouldnt worry - yours is just a random dream.
When you get one with latent meaning you will know straight away!
