My fiance is about to take a 25 year prison sentence for a murder. In my heart, I know he didn't do it. I have heard stories also from people who will not speak up to the lawyer and won't testify.
Anyway my question is this........
He is my soulmate, my everything. I was wondering who else has went through it and how do you and that person handle it?

It's already been 3 that he's been in jail (on trial) he gets credit for that, so it's 22 really, but I love him and I know I'm not stopping my life. I am just making room for him in it, and I do intend to be with him when he gets out.

Well good luck it will be hard. I dont know if you can say that in 25 years youll feel the same way The best way to handle it is take it one month at a time and it will be hard but remember that your life doesnt have to stop because he is doing time. Socialize keep friends close and pray.

It will not last after a few years you will meet a new guy and that person will take you out and buy you dinner and it will feel so good that you forgot what it was like to have someone care about you. 25 years is 25 years of your life too you did not do any thing wrong. This is how i see it i have many friends who are in this sitition and it sucks but that is what happens and the guy in prisons starts to call his girl a hoe and a slut bit#$ but face the facts he is not coming back. If you are 25 years old just think he is not coming back until he is as old as your dad and how do you connect with someone who dose the same thing everyday for 25 years after the first 2 years the conversations will be stale and boring and after awhile you will not want to take the calls
