My friend wears a shirt sometimes with Arabic writing on it and Ive noticed that he gets some weird stares from people in passing. I would like to see how many people would actually wear one and if not what would be the reason not to.

Just to let you know: It has nothing to do with the ISLAMIC religion, its Arabic writing, secondly, it has a message of peace translated in English on the shirt.

Yes, I would. My best friend is a Muslim from India with Arabic ancestors, and he wears a shirt that says "Arab Pride" on it all the time. If anyone wants to stare, let them! I respect your friend for not caring what other people think (especially the ignorant muslim-hating idiots).

If I knew what it said and I liked the saying, yes. I think Arabic writing is beautiful, I just have a hard time wearing something that I don't know for sure what it means.
