Why on earth don't we force people to be licensed to have children?

This is just the worst. I live in MA and have been following the stories. These people are just sick, sick, sick.

I'm sorry, but this is where the death penalty should be used.

Okay here is the reason. Its all about principle. Why should we the majority have to pay for the crimes of these 2 people.
And what do you think the punishement should be if an unlicensed woman conceives? Isn't it bad enough you were tricked into getting a birth certificate, a SS#, a drivers license, volunteering your money to the IRS, Think about it? You Really want us to accept that all people should have a license to breed all because of these two murdering idiots?

A lot of this story doesn't jive. I agree the parents seem to be completely at fault with intention. But lets not forget about her Doctor, Pharmacy, DCFS, the Case Worker, the Uncle, and his significant other, not to mention the neighbors. There are a lot of people involved that could have prevented this childs death, as a matter of fact TOO MANY!
That poor little girl died on a pile of clothing and magazines by a brown teddy bear. This next time we see a brown teddy bear I bet we all shed a tear, long after the ones we have now dry up.

Omg! i dont normal read these types of things but from the first paragraph i decided i had to read it all. Those 2 people are monsters to do that to there children. The sad thing is the little girl past. I hope there other children are alright and have no long term issues. I really dont believe in giving drugs prescribed or not to children unless absolutley nessacary. As in they are diabetic or such. Children are suposed to be full of eneregy and work you last nerve day in and day out. If you cant handle that. Then why have Children. I hope they do a serious investigation into this. and how much children are given drugs.

What's wrong with this picture?!! Doctors diagnosing a 21/2 year old because of family history. Give me a break. School teachers and a principal noticing somethings not right, talking to mom repeatedly about their concerns, neighbors noticing the children appearing list less and they were concerned. Gee!!! Not one of them approached the police or child wellfare council about these worries. Most of them were professionals. Teachers and a principal. Where's the part that says if child abuse is suspected or you have a concern for the welfare of said child it is your duty to report this. If not, you can lose your job. Those were things I was taught when I became a teacher. And I acted twice and made reports. Turns out I was right to make the report. The Doctor should lose her license. The teacher and Principal should be brought up on charges as well. People are to afraid to get involved. It's your civic and moral duty to protect our children. That little girl could have been saved. We need to stop worrying about,"What if were wrong," and worry about the precious lives of the children who can't protect themselves. People just don't want to get involved. This article clearly shows this.

I'm a teacher and I see horrible things like that all the time. The idea of licensing people to have children has crossed my mind so many times! We license people for driving, we can even take the license away, we can tell them what to do, but we can't do that with children? Raising children is a much bigger responsibility and we allow lazy a** moron give birth to so many of them and those poor children end up raising themselves in the best of cases. It's really sad.

Okay, that is absolutely disgusting! Those people are not even human! They should be given lobotomies, tortured and the father (who probably did molest the little girl he is accused of) should be castrated! What a bunch of disgusting, filthy and sick people! This makes it even harder for me to understand why politicians don't want legalized abortion, I do not advocate abortion as a form of birth control, but this poor child and probably her siblings would have suffered less had they been aborted! Very sad and disturbing! God bless that little girl and her siblings!

omg-this story sickens me and makes me ashamed to be a part of the same race as these people. not just the parents-though i think both of them need to be treated as poorly as that sweet little baby-but all the others that just looked the other way. nobody wants to 'get involved'. how are innocent children supposed to feel protected if everyone has that attitude!?!?

That is sooooo sad. There's nothing to do except make sure those parents don't hurt anyone else or have any other kids, and look into medicated children. That is so sad. Remember Rebecca.

Because if you made people have a licence to have children, the people who lost their licence would have children anyway, think about it, would a decent person bring another human being in to THIS world? knowing about all the bad things he would have to endure during his life? Parents are scum. But the laws are written by parents.

Force people to be licensed to have children huh? You are one of the problems with this country. Its one story, however tragic(and yes its sick). You have no right to tell ppl they can't have a child, or BE LICENSED to have one. My suggestion for you,( if thats the way you think) you would be much better served living in China perhaps.
